Guess what everyone . . . After all of these months of anxiously preparing, planning and dreaming, I finally received my acceptance email! I am accepted to the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World for Fall 2014. I will be in merchandise, and I am obviously more excited than I can even describe. It still hasn’t quite sunk in that I am going to be out there in Lake Buena Vista, FL, living my dream at Disney World. This is everything I could have wanted, and I am feeling so blessed, happy and lucky! This means I get to continue blogging about my experience! Although, I won’t have much updates until a lot closer to my departure date! Hopefully following this blog will be helpful for someone some day, and inspire more people to work for their dreams!
It appears that acceptances have started coming out! As soon as I found out, I started crying, got incredibly anxious, freaked out, filled with excitement and nerves, and basically became one emotional ball of fury. I can’t believe I could find out the decision soon that may make or break my dream. I have my eyes on the prize though . . . I am going to Disney World. I am just waiting on that fateful email now.
Well folks, here I am, patiently (ok not really, I am checking my dashboard every 15 mins) waiting, praying for acceptances to come out soon, and that one of them is for me. My phone interview was on Thursday morning, and I have no idea how to feel about it! Of course after the fact I thought of things I could have said that were WAY better, but hey, I spent so long preparing for the interview, that I would hope it came across while I was talking!
Look for an update soon! Please pray with me that I will get to continue to post about DCP, and hopefully it is about my adventure!
After months of preparing, and the agony of rapid heart beat while taking the Web-Based Interview, I have passed it! I only need to do the phone interview, and pray that Disney sees that I am a great fit for them! I am so excited for all of the opportunity I am hoping to be given. Be on the look out for good news!
WOW I can’t even express the wave of excitement and many other emotions overcoming me. I have finally just applied, and I can say without a doubt, I have never wanted anything as much as I want this opportunity.
The journey actually begun long ago, when my love of Disney began, and I never knew the possibilities that could come from it. Let’s hope I get to where I want to be!
I will be posting as I find out more information, but for now, I need to patiently wait for my web-based interview. Wish me luck everyone, and for those of you out there who also applied, best of luck to you as well. We may be fellow CP’s some day.
I think I have already used this one, but it is perfectly fitting right now

The application is due out ANY DAY now, and I am clearly beyond excited. I continue to follow blogs, videos and instagram accounts just to get as much information as I possibly can, and I am pumped! This is the opportunity I have been waiting for, and I am just so happy that I realized this is what I want to do, and this is the first step in doing it. This is the path I know I was meant to take, and I can’t wait for the networking, the learning, and most of all, the experience that this will bring. I know I am not in yet, but I am extremely determined to do everything that I need to do in order to make it. Keep on the look out, because Disney World, I am coming for you!

I may have taken a little help on the title from that can’t-get-out-of-your-head song we all love, or love to hate, it’s a small world! But, that’s ok, because the whole point of Disney is to inspire imagination and magic in the world. Or at least for me, into 2014. I am beyond excited that it is now 2014. This means a couple of big things are coming up for me, but most importantly, it means I get to apply for the Fall 2014 Disney College Program! Even better, I already get to finally apply, NEXT MONTH! My fingers are of course crossed that it goes well, and I get to go, but until then, I am going to keep up the enthusiasm as I go back to my constant research on everything I can find about the program. All the stories I watch and hear, and all the information I am finding, I feel is really going to help me- So I think I am going to go back to doing that now!

I just realized I haven’t posted on here in months! Between school and work, I have been so busy and forgot. The good news, however, is that I am now less than 2 months away from being able to apply to the program. I am beyond excited as I follow the Facebook page, and see all the cool things that current participants are doing. In the mean time, I will keep dreaming, and doing whatever it takes to get to Disney World!
PS- I have taken a seasonal job at the Disney Store to get a little bit of Disney fix. (:
Well about one week down, and way too many more left until I can apply! I was doing some reading about different people’s experiences in the college program, and stumbled upon this little gem: http://disneyadventureblog.wordpress.com/2013/03/16/the-top-20-people-youll-meet-in-your-college-program/. “The Top 20 People You’ll Meet in Your College Program” was a very comical little post, I must say I have already figured out where I fall in that list of 20, and I am excited to meet some of these people- mostly the princesses, because I imagine it must be true to a tee!
Well, today is Thursday, Aug. 8. It’s really nothing special. But- it is the day before the D23 Expo! The Expo is taking place this year on Aug. 9-11 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Unfortunately for me, I am unable to go, but I will be taking a close look at this blog: http://www.insidethemagic.net/2013/08/live-blog-2013-d23-expo-coverage-of-all-things-disney-from-the-anaheim-convention-center-near-disneyland/ so I can keep on top of what’s going on. For those of you out there who are going, have fun! I wish I could be there, too!
